We finally have details on the big celebration the Boys plan to do in Cancun next yeat at Moon Palace, April 18th through the 21st of 2024. This is nothing like anything they’ve done before. And I know because it’s new, fans are nervous and they have questions. With that comes a lot of confusion, misinformation, and frustration.

I’m here to help.

The presale is on July 6th at 12pm EST, and the general sale is July 7th, 1pm EST. So the more we know before then, the better, right?

This is a post I’ll keep updating so please bookmark it. As I learn more, I’ll add it in here. Everything I’ve gathered so far is straight from their offcial website for the event and their support page (with a very helpful chat box!). If you haven’t used that support page yet, I’m urging that you do. It gives clear straightfoward answers with no risk of confusion.

“What does the package include?”

  • 4, 5, or 6 All-Inclusive Nights at Moon Palace. (The event itself is four days but you can extend your stay at the resort one or two extra days.)
  • Welcome Party
  • Two BSB concerts (DNA World Tour set and a 30-for-30 fan voted show)
  • A concert from Jason Derulo.
  • Airport transportation to and from the resort
  • Unlimited food & drinks all weekend long (including alcohol!)
  • Daily pool parties
  • An AJ event, “Microphone Madness: Karaoke Fiesta”
  • Howie’s “Shots and Quac”
  • A Nick event “Surf and Serve” (per Billboard it’s a volleyball event)
  • A “DJ Kevy Kev” event
  • The Litrells Variety Show
  • Official Backstreet’s Back at the Beach Welcome Gifts

“What does it cost?”

  • Much like the cruises, it depends on the room and how many people will be sharing it. But spots start at 2,175$. All the rooms and prices can be found here.  At the time of purchase you need to make at minimum a 290$ deposit, and a 65$ service fee. If you plan to do a payment plan, there’s a one time 50$ fee.

“There’s a Payment Plan?”

  • There is! And you just have to make sure you select it at checkout.

“How do I buy it?”

  • The website has a super helpful video here!

“When should I get a passport?”

  • ASAP. There’s been delays already in the US. Please, please please get that going. I got mine started last month and they said minimum thirteen weeks, don’t risk any delays!

Now, the tougher questions…Keep in mind if you’re not sure about something, I again stress you to ask the support chat! It’s way better than telephone and it’s why I’m posting the screenshots, to show you the answers verbatim rather than risk anything getting confused.

“Is it REALLY worth it?”

This is a matter of opinion. You have to make the best decision for yourself. I will say, I looked up prices at Moon Palace and for four people, for four nights in a cheaper room runs about 4,000$, so a thousand per person. The cheapest four person package is 2,175$ per person. So the difference is for the two concerts, solo events, whatever the welcome package is, the pool parties and anything else that will be in the itinerary. Plus, hey the unlimited alcohol.

Full transparency, I plan to go. I’ve already sorted out my roommates. (I went with who asked me first haha.)

But it’s about perspective, these events are always what you make of them. When the cruises were brand new, I was one of the few who went to the first one blind and with no regrets. I’m seeing it as a BSB festival at a fancy resort with friends, all wrapped up in a vacation. But again, everyone is going to look at this differently. Just be respectful of what everyone decides.

“Is there really no Meet and Greet?”

There’s not. There’s a “Golden Ticket” raffle all fans who buy within the first two weeks of the presale and general on sale (July 6th for the presale and July 7th for the regular sale) and only thirty will be chosen for a thirty minute “happy hour meet and greet” with the Boys. I can’t speak as to why that is, but there’s going to loads of opportunities to run into the Boys, they’re taking over the entire resort!

“I saw someone say all solo events are lottery based and not everyone can go.”

I’m here to debunk that. I went straight to the support page and asked outright via the virtual chat and here’s a screenshot of the answer I was given. If something changes, I’ll update. But for now, that’s false.

“I heard that all the payments have to go on the same card!”

Now with this one, I again ran straight to the support chat. I suspected the confusion was if you pay all at once with no payment plan then, yes you only use one card. However, as seen in this screenshot straight from the chat, if you are on a payment plan then after you make the inital deposit at the point of purchase (which does all go on one card) you can split it up on multiple cards, one for each guest.

Note: More conflicting information keeps coming in about this. At this point I’d say plan for both scenarios.

It says on the support page FAQ it’s non-transferrable and non-refundable. So once you commit, you commit. Don’t go into this blindly.

The pool parties are supposed to be included for all guests so they’re definitely be in a part of the resort anyone can access no matter what room you get.

“Do the more expensive rooms have extra BSB related perks?”

No. The only thing I saw after scouring the entire site was that if you book a room in the Grand part of the resort, there’s a venue entrance only those rooms will be allowed to use. There’s no extra BSB events for those who paid for the more expensive rooms. definitely look into what you get with each type of room. The differences in experience relate to the room and resort themselves, not the Boys.

We do not, but it’ll be during the four days listed the 18th – 21st.

“How do fans get to vote on the 30 for 30 setlist?”

I have no idea but you better believe that I’ll have an entire post dedicated to voting once we do know because I’m determined to cause pure undiluted chaos with the setlist choices. (I’m talking If You Want It To Be Good Girl, Get Yourself a Bad Boy, Roll With It, Everything But Mine, Panic, Make Believe…we need to unite and vote it any and every song that is a deep cut and rarely performed if possible, okay.)

“What is first entry?”

First entry applies to the concerts ONLY. Because fans sometimes will wait and literally miss other events and queue up in line for a good concert spot instead, they’re circumventing that. Instead so everyone can enjoy their trip, they’re going to allow you to enter a lottery to be able to go in first to pick a spot to go. EVERYONE will be able to go. This is solely to determine who gets to be able to enter the venue first. It’s random and will be for each concert.
