So I’m back! Annnnd I’m still in love with Jaclyn’s recap yesterday. My recaps won’t ever be as random sadly because I watch the show regularly and I kind of love talking about it. So I do and I talk like y’all know what I mean and…yeah.
She’ll be back next week cause I’ll be working and going insane knowing I can’t watch.
The nice thing was it helped us get through a rougher patch for us as fans. Seeing Nick not do as well as we expected. But, I’m going to bring up last night for a quick moment. In the All Access interview? Sharna revealed the music started WRONG. Yeah, wrong. There were supposed to be a four-count beat at the beginning to set it up. When it didn’t, they had to cotton on fast. That’s why Nick had the pajama issue. Which, Nick…no more wardrobe malfunctions! My fangirl heart can’t take it!
I’m serious. I was at work getting Facebook Messenger updates and going insane cause I couldn’t watch till I got off the clock. I swear I’m going to go grey because of you Nick.
Anywho, so yes. The music was off. Then the shoe incident.
For the record, it took me three watches of that performance to realize he DID slip.
On to tonight though! For this is going to be long as it is…
Since last night was the night we went to the Stars’ hometowns, tonight we went to the Pros’ hometowns. For Sharna? She’s from Australia so they had a Foxtrot that represented what home was to her. Unfortunately her dad was unable to come because he’s on dialysis so this dance was extremely special and a dedication to him. Nick knew what this meant to her. Not to mention, he wanted to redeem himself from last night.
Honestly, the dance was beautiful. It was underscored, but it was beautiful. He had great lines, posture…ugh. I can rewatch it for days. It got me a bit emotional just watching it. Like his I Will Wait video wasn’t enough! But he got three 8s, totaling to a 24. I feel he deserved at least ONE 9, personally. But, hey second from the top of the leader board isn’t bad at all. I just can’t. I could go on and on about this dance but if I do you’ll be reading this all night. There were definitely some emotions. SO MANY FEELINGS. Their Foxtrot was to Coming Home and the video is below.
Let me also point out they were literally rehearsing till the last possible second.
You could see them when the camera panned up. It was endearing as hell.
The rest of the dances weren’t exactly something to write home about. For the most part. While Nick made up for yesterday, the other dances seemed to start collapsing under the pressure. Carlos forgot the footwork for his cha-cha and kept crouching down. Andy almost DROPPED his partner! Which by the way? Andy got hugely overscored. 8s for a near drop dance? No. Bruno got it right with the seven he gave him.
Derek did an illegal lift. So he did NOT get the highest score. That gives me joy. So you know how Jaclyn has undeserved hate for Andy? I do for Derek. He’s a favorite of the viewers so he gets a pass on a lot of things and gets the young and able partners. You never see him out of the top six and it’s annoying. I hate Derek. I hate him. He likely does not deserve it but I don’t care. I get joy when he gets called out on his shit. Carrie Ann gave him a 7 tonight and I did a little dance. Sorry Bindi. I hate Derek. I don’t hate you.
Alek is still a contender, it wasn’t a great Quickstep but it wasn’t bad. But Lindsay needs to stop with this All American theme each week. It’s becoming overkill. Then again maybe people won’t vote. Hmm.
Gary Busey needs to stay. He loves being on there and he entertains my soul. Favorite quote of the night when he got three 5s? “If that’s as high as they can count, God bless them.” I about died laughing. DO NOT VOTE THIS MAN OFF AMERICA!
Back to Nick for a moment. Did anyone else notice he’s practically in every interview shot? Always. In the background you can see him smiling or moving about. Why is that? Do the producers know we love his face? Do they ask him to follow the cameras/people around so that he’s always in the shot? It can’t be coincidence. If so, good job producers! Keep that going for the rest of the season!
Tamar and Val had a good Charleston number. Still mad they got a 9 and Nick and Sharna didn’t. Both dances were equally good. I’m also sick of Tamar and Val bickering. Hopefully the rest of America feels that way too.
Sadly Victor got eliminated tonight. It was pretty much expected but I’m sad we’re not going to have our own Howie-Lyte on the show any more. He was fun to watch. I would’ve rather seen Kim or Paula go. Oh well. Next week.
Whew! We got Nick through his first two eliminations. Sorry guys, it’s not going to get easier! We gotta go old school and vote like we’re trying to keep NSYNC from being number one. (Sorry Joey!) Dig down deep. We all know that thirteen year old is still alive in you somewhere. Find it!
Need a refresher on voting? We’re here for you weekly!

Jaclyn will be back with your Dancing With The Stars recap next Monday!
Mark’s was the only other one I felt that meant something. I think Tony’s and Karina’s stories would’ve had more meaning if they had better partners
