DWTS Recap 11: Trios, Sambas, and Tangos – OH MY!

Did anyone else have a heartattack just now? I did.

So let me put it out there as to why. Elimination. They said Nick and Sharna and Bindi and Derek were in jeopardy. YEAH. Bindi and Nick! Like holy hell my heart dropped to my feet. And this was after a bit of an interesting night on Dancing With The Stars. The good news? No one got eliminated. All four couples are going into the finals. But look how close it was. THIS IS WHY VOTING IS EVERYTHING. Make it happen!

Okay, time for the recap.

This episode focused a lot on the stars journeys. No matter who you’re voting for or who you’re supporting – (Nick, Nick…and Nick. In case you’re wondering.) everyone left has worked really hard to get to this point of the competition. I can respect that SO much. It also gave us a peak on how not only the celebs got to this point of the show, but it shows how they became who they are. Something like that is a beautiful thing to watch. So Carlos, Bindi, and Alek? You guys are awesome. I’m sorry I want you to lose. But I do.

Nick’s package was heartbreaking. For many of us who know his story, it’s never any easier to hear it. We watched as Kevin, AJ, Aaron, Lauren and Howie all spoke about what a great person Nick really is. We do see that. And that’s also why no matter what happens next Monday…. No matter what happens next Tuesday…

In our eyes? You’ve already won. We believe in you.

Your fans love you.

The dances. Nick’s Tango gave me feelings but mainly because of the pep talk Sharna gave him in middle. He’d made a mistake and she was there for him, as a partner should be. Their partnership was beautiful. No, scratch that. Their partnership IS beautiful. Sharna? Thank you. Thank you for being so talented. Thank you for being the great choreographer that you are. Thank you, for taking care of Nick for us. We’re protective of him, I know. So on behalf of the fandom, thank you.

The dance got a 24. I think maybe 9s would’ve been better, but things happen.

The dance off. Sigh. It was a fair match up but I do think Nick should’ve won it. Their Samba had more passion in it, personally. And a Samba is supposed to have that. But again, things happen. I like Bindi, so it’s not her fault I wished Nick had won.

The trio dance? Talk about a highlight! Peta is a great pro. I missed her this season. Especially since I felt Andy had he had her as a partner (as was the plan had she not been injured) would’ve gone a lot further into this. Their dance was fantastic. Remember how last week that Quickstep made me pregnant? After this Salsa? I’m having twins y’all. It’s that serious. Just…this time I had a happy death. Then came back. I’m a pregnant zombie now. I blame you for that Nick! (Love ya though.)

Oh and Peta! We feel you on the fangirling!

No elimination this week, like I said before. BUT. There will be NEXT week.

Nick was in danger! I can’t stress enough we have to VOTE VOTE VOTE! Help us help Nick see it through to the very last day! To drive it home, let me post the leader board standings after all three dances tonight.

Bindi and Derek: 60
Carlos and Witney: 60
Alek and Lindsay: 57
Nick and Sharna: 54

He’s at the bottom. So if there was ever a time to power vote? It’s NOW.

Before I sign off the recap this week, I just need to tell you again Nick. You have nothing to prove to your fans. We will love you mirror ball trophy or not. We DO believe you can win it. We DO want that for you. But for us, you’re already a winner. This journey you’ve been on is downright incredible. For your fans…that’s enough for us. Everything else is a bonus. Thank you Nick, for being you.

We’ll be supporting you no matter what.
